Final Concert Pictures

Jacob finished up his week at camp with an AWESOME
concert on Friday night, they played Raiders March, Shaker
Variants, Satie: One Gymnopedie, Patton (Jacob said this
was very hard) and Snakes. The concert was fantastic and
Jacob had a great time all week, he hopes to be asked to
attend next summer. Here are a few pictures from the
concert. PS..on a side note, the trombone instructor asked
us if she could give Jacob private lessons during the year, as
she thought he is very good at the trombone..how about that?

Bradley University Band Camp

Jacob had to dress like Indiana Jones on Wednesday

(he wasn't too happy..doubt he will look like this at 5pm)

Thursday was "Rocker Day".. He enjoyed this much better than yesterday's theme.

This week Jacob is attending Band Camp at
Bradley University in Peoria. He was one of
80 students from the tri-county area selected
to attend the camp. The theme of the week is
"Temple of Tunes" (take off of Indiana Jones).
He is having a blast. On Friday night they will
be putting on a final performance, so check back
later in the week for more pictures. Jacob is
seated at 4th chair trombone - out of 12 trombone
players and he is the only 7th grader, the other 11
are 8th and 9th graders...way to go Jake!!!

A Day in Bolingbrook

Obviously not Bolingbrook, IL

We spent Saturday in Bolingbrook, Il (about 45 minutes outside
of Chicago)at The Promenade for a little "retail therapy"... Jacob
made out like a fat rat scoring a chair at IKEA and some new
clothes at PacSun and Aeropostle. We ended our day eating at the
Islamarada Fish Company inside the Bass Pro Shop (guess who wanted
to go there??). Last year we were in the "real"Islamarada (Florida Keys)
for Father's Day...this year Bolingbrook, IL hmmmmmm......where would I
rather be??? Wherever my 2 guys are. What a FUN day we had.....

Illinois Central College Basketball Camp

This week Jacob attended basketball camp at ICC.

He had a great time and his team came in 2nd place

for the entire week of competition. CONGRATULATIONS!!

An Afternoon at the Lake

Jacob and I spent the afternoon at The O'Neill's. Keenan and Jacob

jumped on the trampoline and swam while Anita and I tried to work

on our tans (without the sun)...oh well!!!!
